The TTT Plant at Bhesan is a 1.05 million litres per day (MLD) wastewater handling facility developed to support efficient and environmentally responsible water management. The project focuses on the collection, primary treatment, and safe discharge of wastewater to help reduce the environmental burden on surrounding areas.
Under this initiative, wastewater is collected from multiple locations identified by the Surat Municipal Corporation and conveyed to the plant for treatment. At the facility, the wastewater is processed within a reinforced cement concrete (RCC) treatment system, where dosing pumps are used to carry out chemical treatment for partial purification.
The treatment process is designed to provide preliminary improvement in water quality by reducing contaminants to safer levels, though it is not intended for complete purification. Following treatment, the processed water is responsibly discharged into Pal Lake, supporting better management of local water resources and minimizing environmental impact.
This project demonstrates a practical and sustainable approach to decentralized wastewater management, contributing to improved urban sanitation and environmental protection.
